Eng. Kancho Hristov
Engineer Kancho Hristov has been the Executive Director and a member of the Board of Directors of “BDZ Holding” EAD since September 2026.
He was appointed under a management contract for “BDZ Holding” EAD, pursuant to Article 52, paragraph 1 of the Regulations for the Implementation of the Public Enterprises Act, for a term lasting until a competitive selection process is held to choose members of the Board of Directors of “BDZ Holding” EAD.
He holds a master’s degree in industrial and civil engineering from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Geodesy in Sofia and completed a specialization in business management at JICA (Osaka, Japan).
Engineer Kancho Hristov is a civil engineer with extensive, long-standing experience in the management and implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects funded by the European Union. From September 2012 through February 2016, he managed, implemented, and reported on key European projects in the Municipality of Kazanlak, including phases of the “Integrated Urban Transport” project and the expansion of the Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant.
In the private sector, he has extensive experience as a manager, partner, and designer of industrial, commercial, and military facilities, including the construction of over 50 gas stations, the first headquarters of a major bank in Bulgaria, shopping centers, and the Air Force’s hangar complex for Spartan military transport aircraft.
